Amy comes from a background of education and teacher training. Prior to becoming a full time yoga teacher (and mummy!) she taught secondary music education for 12 years, teaching all ages from primary level up to A-level. In 2006 she set-up the School Centre Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) PGCE course in Secondary Music Education at Truro College and for 6 years she ran this course and taught trainee music teachers.
She is deeply passionate about ensuring women have access to high quality yoga classes that support them both pre and postnatally. With her experience both teaching yoga to pre and postnatal women and her previous experience in education, yoga teacher training seemed a natural progression for Amy. Amy feels passionate about supporting pre and postnatal women through yoga and hopes by training other yoga teachers more women can receive high quality support through yoga.
Amy offers on-going support and mentoring to all teachers that complete her teacher training courses and CPD workshops. She is proud to be creating a network of yoga teachers who work together to support each other and offer the highest level of pre and postnatal yoga classes. She is looking forward to expanding her teacher training courses to include a 300hr Yoga Foundation course January 2020.
“Amy is a true Yogi. She is passionate about Yoga and the benefits to a woman prenatally and beyond. Amy is incredibly knowledgeable and teaches in a relaxed, fun and nurturing way.” Ivy Downs Pregnancy Yoga Teacher training and Mum & Baby, Toddler & Pre-school Yoga Teacher training 2017
