Amy Jones B.A Hons, PGCE, Foundation Diploma BWY
I have been practicing Yoga for several years, studying styles that include Anusara, Iyengar and British Wheel of Yoga. I aim to integrate elements of these styles into my teaching to create flowing, fun and energetic classes, that are accessible to all levels. I have also taught music at secondary education level for the past 9 years and I am invloved in training trainee music teachers. I understand the qualities and skills of a good teacher, and have transferred these skills into my yoga teaching.
I initially began Yoga practice in order to develop strength and flexibility to improve my surfing, but I soon realised that regular practice leads to so many other positive benefits.
Yoga is both a physical and mental practice and can help you to manage stress, anxiety and the pressures of everyday life. Yoga is great exercise and lots of fun!
I am a Brirish Wheel of Yoga trainee teacher, studying for the BWY teaching Diploma, having completed the foundation course. The BWY is recognised by Sport England as the governering body of Yoga in Great Britain.
